University students,  practical skills, a trades community - Is it possible? The first Skutch Trades & University community for a sustainable lifestyle has been formally proposed for Sydney's Blue Mountains. The site will bring a productive and conductive element to using your skills. A facility in our economy,  where Mentors from the past blend with graduate students, in an effort to value add to some of the Countries historic unused sites. The Idea is a uniquely Australian initiative for Students to get their hands on skills whilst studying a thesis on a new wave of local power. 

In his latest interview for the Age David Courage said.....

The initial facility will focus on the future of Independent living for an aging population in a sustainable community. The faculty will be self funding "Value adding" equity value locally. A productive initiative that ultimately could reclaim other historic sites from our Town Planners "too hard" baskets. The development of a non- for- profit trade community would  prosper ideas for new energy devices that do not pollute the sky.

"I would like to see our future dependence on foreign energy companies reduced, who ultimately take all our profits overseas".

University graduates could have an opportunity to building infrastructure whilst learning real practical skills with dirty hands. And you don't have to participate...

....Announcing today the Skutch development proposal for the Mountains. Renovation of the site would be carried out by teams of students who want to see what their drawings actually look like when built with older skilled tradesmen supervising the build of the community and that initiative profited an aging population. The objective is to rebuild the site with a productive and commercially viable micro-economic community. We want students and locals to help us verify compliance of the paperwork.  Ideas of how?  will be the creative theme for new building codes that value adds to Australia's economy. Maybe our trades could take control over preventive measures; for the sites occupational & safety laws. "There is a need for preventive measures learned before a working life is undertaken so our employers aren't guilty first"

Clean technology is needed now, recently stated in a US study " There is no more time for opinions, Climate change is a happening thing " It is estimated over the next five years that a faculty similar to this one could provide practical skills to around five thousand Students who will help us design the future in free education and return around ten million dollars to the taxpayer community and save around One billion dollars per annum in skills & training funding. We're planning to develop 300 trade universities Nationwide by 2017.
